St. Barnabas Church Wedding: Safrana + Marco

After photographing Safrana and Marco’s New York Engagement Session, I was beyond excited to see what ideas they had for their church wedding in Leicester, England. They didn’t disappoint. Safrana and Marco had a Muslim wedding ceremony followed by a reception in this old former church hall, St. Barnabas in Leciester. The setting was beautiful. Safrana’s niece and nephews were in charge of welcoming guests as they arrived.

Loved that Safrana & Marco created their own unique hashtag for Instagram for their guests to use on Instagram so that they could easily see any pictures guests had uploaded to Instagram.

I equally love that Safrana used this old mirror as a table plan by writing guests’ names on the mirror.

St. Barnabas Wedding: Safrana + MarcoThis wedding was extra special to me, as I was also a guest. Safrana’s made sure her wedding invitations set the theme and tone of her wedding.

Instead of a postbox, Safrana very creatively decided to have a vintage suitcase draped in lace at the entrance table for guests to put their cards in.

St. Barnabas Wedding: Safrana + MarcoFor the centre pieces, the bride and groom went for something a bit more unsual, old classic novels with doilies and old glass jars filled with roses. Each table was also marked with a luggage label which Safrana wrote out herself. Glass water bottles with old fashioned stoppers also graced each table.

After the Islamic wedding ceremony, Safrana & Marco headed outside to take group pictures with their friends and family. They then re-entered the former church as bride and groom…
