British Muslim Heritage Centre Wedding: Amina + Atif

Saira, the bride's sister contacted me by e-mail about five months before the wedding. I had photographed for their family before and Saira continued to follow my on Instagram (@tanyaweekes). One thing that I remember the most about Saira's family, from the last time I was with them, was their warmth and closeness. They are are close nit family which is something that I really value as I am also from a close nit family and so I flew from Taiwan to photograph Amina and Atif's wedding. The bride to be got ready in a relaxed setting at home amongst the immediate family. While Amina had her make up done by Fatimah, I took the opportunity to photograph the bride's bouquet and accessories.Amina's beautiful wedding rings....The detail on the back of Amina's dress was exquisite.Rose petals left over from the hand-made flower garlands were used as confetti.Amina's sister, Saira was on hand to help with the last finishing touch while Amina's other sister Aisha ensured that everything was underway at the wedding venue. The marquee to the rear of the main building is where Amina + Atif's wedding guests were sat for the wedding and meal. The groom, Atif, turned up in style...The grooms family were met by the brides family with rose petal confetti and garlands.Guests were invited to a glass of fresh juice on arrival. The entrance also had a floral backdrop. In keeping with the floral theme, the wedding cake was decorated with fresh flowers.Photography by Tanya WeekesPhotography Assistant:  Safrana MusaVenue: British Muslim Heritage CentreFor more weddings click here or check out these recent posts:
