Hendon Hall Wedding: Emily + Danate

I am usually approached to photograph wedding by women, but on this occasion it was actually the groom's uncle, who I'd met by chance at a concert, who mentioned my name to his nephew, Danate. Danate then contacted me by e-mail with regard to photographing his London wedding. A few questions from me later, his lovely fiancé Emily took over. As always, it is the brides that wear the trousers when it comes to weddings. After a couple of e-mails and a telephone conversation we had confirmed the booking for photography services for Emily and Danate's summer wedding in the lovely Hendon Hall in North London, England.I think it's really nice when couples have a theme to their wedding, it makes it all the more personal and unique to them. Emily did this by introducing a musical theme through her wedding details, like the sheet music she used to make the confetti cones and the table names which she named after their favourite singers, the confetti holders and the wedding invitations. The theme was all the more special as it tied in with Emily's background in performing arts, and the fact that she teaches piano and is an amazing singer.Emily definitely has great taste in shoes! These gorgeous Nine West heels were one of three pairs of wedding shoes that Emily had reserved for her day...Check out the cool glittery soles, Christian Louboutin have nothing on these bad boys :-)Emily & Danate's little girl, Amara, looked B E A U T I F U L in her cute ivory and pink tulle dress - Emily's bridesmaids were on hand to keep her entertained while she was getting ready... Bridesmaids duties :-)Emily & Danate opted for a soft colour theme of blush pink, cream and pastel blues which then encorporated into the flowers they chose for their day - The bridemaids held blue hydrangeas.Danate and his Groomsmen were full of laughter literally from start to finish, so it was really easy to capture lots of fun, relaxed pictures - my kind of guys :-)After cake cutting and first dance duties were over, Emily changed into this gorgeous rose gold sequinned number.Emily looked even more radiant when she changed into her gold sequin dress after her first dance...Venue: Hendon Hall HotelFlowers: Anastasia FloristMake up: Phillipa Louise Make UpPhotography: Tanya Weekes
