Oddfellows On The Park Wedding: Kalsoom + Umar

I came to photograph Kalsoom and Umar’s wedding as a result of photographing for both the bride and grooms families in the past – most recently, Amina and Atif’s British Muslim Heritage Centre Wedding. It was nice to see familiar faces as the day unfolded.

Kalsoom and Umar had already had their nikkah, their Muslim wedding ceremony when I came to photograph their walima (Muslim wedding ceremony). The day began with preparation shots at lovely boutique hotel, Oddfellows On The Park before moving onto family portraits with Umar’s family and bride and groom portraits amongst the grounds of the hotel.

I love period properties with original features, there are so many little details that add character and I love encorporating them into my wedding photography to make up the story of the day.

The decor at Oddfellows On The Park is inspired from a society for the ODD fellows – Those people who inspire us, the ones who aren’t afraid to stand out from the crowd and live a life of character and charm. I love this vibe and it was reflected in the quirky decor of Bruntwood Hall, the home of Odd Fellows On The Park.
