A few days ago, I blogged about, how to travel abroad often. One of the tips I mentioned was making friends whilst travelling and even before you reach your destination. I did both when I went to Paris last year. The reason for my trip was to meet up with a videographer I had made friends with at a Moroccan wedding I photographed in Paris the previous year. We stayed in touch after the wedding and she invited me back over to Paris.  I was keen to make the most of my trip and so when I noticed that Marie Kouassi, the fashion and lifestyle blogger behind Instagram account @la.mijie (formally The Miji Mojo) was based in paris, I figured it would be perfect opportunity to arrange for us to meet up. I did not know Marie, other than through Instagram, we liked each others posts (she has really cool 'fashiony' posts), but that was about it.  A few direct messages later we organised that we would meet up and head to a little coffee shop in Paris.Marie was just as lovely in person as she looked in her Instagram pictures, it was as if we had already met, I guess we have Instagram to thank for that. After coffee, we took a wander around the streets of Paris, stopping to take pictures when inspiration struck. You would never guess, that there had just been a downpour, luckily the rain didn't last too long. How cute is Marie's bag!It was cold, so we headed inside to a beautiful space with lots of natural light..Marie turned the tables on me and used my Fuji to take a few pictures of me while I was photographing her.. To check out a post on the cameras I use, click here. The space was great, it had deck chairs and free wifi.. as well as lots of gorgeous natural light.Marie, you are a beautiful! So happy we met :-)Featuring: Marie Kouassi | Location: Paris, France | Photography: Tanya WeekesFor more fashion portraits, check out these posts:
