SPRING IN NANJING, CHINA

Spring is a big deal in China. The blossoming trees are welcomed and celebrated with enthusiasm. Around April, for about two weeks, the Chinese plum trees blossom and everyone goes crazy taking selfies with them. The flowers are really pretty and it's so nice to see people celebrating nature. Here are a few pictures I took over the plum blossom season, in Nanjing, China.

I saw the beautiful blossoms at a few different locations around Nanjing City - Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Park and Nanjing Forestry University.

It was really great to see people so excited over the plum blossoms - sometimes it's easy not to appreciate the things around us, especially when it's from Mother Nature.

I explored Nanjing Forestry University with a friend we had heard that the trees there were really pretty and it was less crowded than other places. Just as we arrived, a crowd had gathered to watch these traditional dancers perform under the blossoming trees. It was really pretty.. especially when the wind blew and the blossoms fell.
