Portrait Session: Leanne Gater

Leanne approached me for a portrait session through my Facebook page. I was honoured and flattered as she is also a fellow photographer with her own business, Bellatrix Photography and Film, specialising in nature, landscape and wildlife photography and filming.  After a few messages back and forth via Facebook (mainly about girly stuff, wardrobe and hair details etc.) I set about thinking of a location that would compliment her style and my love for natural light.Portrait: LeanneWe decided on Whitworth Art Gallery and arrived at the location a little earlier so that I could scout out exactly where I wanted Leanne to be. I had already pre-visualised the shoot, so I had an idea in  mind.Portrait: LeanneLeanne had explained in advance that she wanted the images for her website. We discussed colour themes and she explained that she had a white background on her website to best highlight her photographs. I wanted to stick with this theme with the portrait session, and introduce earthy tones to give a little nod to her speciality in nature and wildlife as well as compliment what she was wearing.Portrait: LeanneWhitworth Art Gallery was the perfect venue as it is situated in Whitworth Park and is surrounded by nature but also has lots of glass and natural reflectors which help bounce the light when inside the gallery, making for lovely bright and fresh pictures.Portrait: LeanneLeanne has the best skin ever! She is flawless!Portrait: LeannePortrait: LeanneLeanne was a good sport and braved the cold so that I could capture these images of her out in the park...Portrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeannePortrait: LeanneFor this shoot I used two of my prime lenses - 50mm F1.4 and 85mm F2.
