TRAVELS: BRUSSELS

So last week I had the pleasure of going to Brussels, Belgium for a the weekend. I've been to Brussels before very briefly a few years ago as I had a six hour stop there when I was on my way to Morocco. This time, I had a bit more time although I will definitely need to go back again because there wasn't enough time to see all that I wanted. Unfortunately, my original flight was cancelled and re-scheduled to fly from Antwerp as a result of the terrorist attack that happened at Brussels International Airport. The change in flight times and airports, meant that the time that I had put aside for exploring Brussels was no longer there as we lost over 12 hours not including the time needed for the additional travel. That said, it was a fun trip and I'm glad I was able to see the Atomium which is an amazing building. As usual, I took my Fuji X100t camera for the trip but I also used my new iPhone SE for a couple of pictures. I don't normally take pictures on my mobile, I usually stick to my Fuji, but for this trip, I wanted to use it for little video clips for Snapchat - Feel to add me there @tanyaweekesManchester Travel Blogger_Brussels-1The hotel I stayed at was not too far from the Atomium which is an amazing building, it looks like something from out of space. Inside it is a museum with a restaurant and exhibition halls with amazing views over Brussels. My Travels: BrusselsMy Travels: BrusselsPhotography by Tanya Weekes www.tanyaweekes.comMy Travels: BrusselsMy Travels: BrusselsPhotography by Tanya Weekes www.tanyaweekes.comMy Travels: BrusselsMy Travels: BrusselsNext to the Atomium was the Parc d'Osseghem. My Travels: BrusselsMy Travels: BrusselsMy Travels: BrusselsI look forward to going to Brussels again and having the time to really explore the city. Photography: Tanya WeekesLocation: Brussels, BelgiumAirline: Brussels AirlineHotel: Ibis HotelSpecial thanks to Fatima Bakare, for the picture of me.
