Fashion Photoshoot: The Shoe That Fits

Continuing with my collaboration with fashion blogger, Nitya of the The Shoe That Fits, here are a few images from our latest shoot. For this shoot, we headed the streets of Manchester city centre and used my 85mm F1.8 camera lens on my Canon 5D Mark iii camera body.

We photographed on a overcast rainy Saturday afternoon - there were lots of people and cars around and it was freezing, but we made it work. I was able to find a building that had a sheltered area so I photographed much of the shoot from under there.

The light coloured walls and large glass windows acted as a natural reflector so that Nitya was evenly lit. This first shot was photographed at F1.8 - I wanted to achieve a really blown out, blurred background - Also the wet street bounced the light back up and acted as a big reflector.
